Getting ready for show time

FORESTBURGH, NY — The Forestburgh Playhouse will hold auditions for its summer season on Saturday, May 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the playhouse, 39 Forestburgh Road.

The playhouse is looking for high school or college age singers to fill out the ensembles in all of our main stage musicals, and for children ages eight to 14 of all ethnicities for children’s chorus roles in “Showboat” and “Les Misérables.” There are also some featured children’s roles: a boy age 10 to 14 for the role of Gavroche in “Les Misérables,” and a girl age 12 to 16 for the role of Little Inez in “Hairspray.”

Older character actors, male and female, are also sought for various roles throughout the season.

All performers auditioning should prepare a musical selection. An accompanist will be provided.
