Bicentennial seeks local bands for closing celebration

SULLIVAN COUNTY, NY — The Sullivan County Bicentennial Steering Committee will partner with Bethel Woods Center for the Arts to present a “Countywide Picnic Day” at Bethel Woods on Saturday, September 26, and is seeking local musicians and bands to perform. There will be auditions at the Rockland House in Roscoe from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 31, or groups may submit a 10-to 15-minute video performance via a .youtube.com" target=_blank>.youtube.com link. All groups must be registered by May 24. Email bicentennialbands@bethelwoodscenter.org and include name, address, phone number, email address, a brief description of your music and, if relevant, a link to .youtube.com" target=_blank>.youtube.com or other digital media.

All genres of music will be considered. In keeping with the local emphasis of the Bicentennial celebration, at least one member of a band or choral group must have resided or currently reside, seasonally or full-time, in Sullivan County.
