GAIL A. BOSE
Gail A. Bose of Westerlo, NY, formerly of Jeffersonville, NY, died suddenly on January 15, 2009 while camping in Florida. She was 69.
She was born on February 7, 1940 in White Sulphur Springs to Richard and Hilda Husch Poley.
Gail worked as a cashier at the A&P and Eddies Market in Jeffersonville, and at the Villa Roma resort, and she was a great support to her husband with Stewart Funeral Service. Gail volunteered with the Jeffersonville First Aid Squad for 20 years and was a communicant of St. Georges Roman Catholic Church in Jeffersonville.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Steven Bose; son of Gaye McCafferty of Westerlo, NY; siblings Helen Schwartz of New Market, VA, Richard Poley of Cody, WY, Nancy Borden of Liberty, NY and Mark (Patti) Poley of Sevierville, TN; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Gails life will take place on Saturday, May 9 at 1:00 p.m. at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, 5068 Rt. 52, Jeffersonville, NY, with Father Ignatius Vu officiating.

VIRGINIA L. DUDLEY
Virginia Jean Dudley, a lifelong resident of Callicoon and Youngsville, died on April 18, 2009 in Orlando, FL. She was 84.
The daughter of Nina Smith White and Charles White, Jean was born in Cleveland, OH. She later moved to Tyler Hill, PA until she married her husband, George Dudley Jr.
Jean worked in public assistance at the Sullivan County Department of Social Services. After retirement, she became a member of the Jeffersonville Senior Citizens. Jean also served in World War II stateside as a nursing assistant in the medical corps. Both she and her husband were life members of the H. Russell Kenyon VFW #5808 and Jean was a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include daughters Patricia Agrillo, Lynne Klimchok and husband Edward and Heidi Ortiz and husband Tony; nine grandchildren, Lisa Emerson, Kristin Peck, Kimberly Peck, Marc Klimchok, Tony Ortiz Jr., Shannon Ortiz, Tiffany Gomez, Eric Ortiz and Lindsey Ortiz; 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; her brother-in-law; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband; sister Margorie Bishop; grandson Michael Agrillo Sr. and son-in-law Robert Agrillo.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, May 6 at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, Jeffersonville. Burial with military honors was made in the Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery, Liberty, NY.

ERIKA EUKER
Erika Euker of Callicoon, NY, a homemaker, died April 30, 2009 at Sullivan County Adult Care Center, Liberty, NY. She was 87.
The daughter of Emil Otto Zetzmann and Frieda Martha Tischendorf Zetzmann, she was born March 12, 1922 in Koppelsdorf, Germany. She was the widow of Arnold Euker.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Callicoon and the United Methodist Women of the Church, and the Callicoon correspondent for the Sullivan County Democrat.
Survivors include her children, Arnold John Euker and wife Deanna of Columbia, IL, Gerald Euker and wife Emily of Callicoon and Eileen Martel of Kinderhook, NY; grandchildren Tracy Norton, Brad Euker, Jeff Euker, Greg Euker and Keith Martel; and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced.

MARIE N. GODBEY
Marie N. Godbey of Cochecton, NY and formerly of Stuart, FL, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at home after a long illness.
She was born on July 3, 1947 in New York City and was the daughter of Louis Foschino and the late Julia.
Marie, affectionately known as Mimi, was a graduate of Monticello High School and Ulster County Community College. She was employed by Radiant Research of Stuart, FL.
Survivors include her father, Louis Foschino; two sons, Scott of Reading, PA and Jason of Brooklyn, NY; five siblings: Richard, her twin, and wife Vonda of Lake City, TN, Allan of Mountain City, TN, Steven of Swan Lake, NY, Nancy and husband Ken of Cochecton, NY and Kathy and husband Matthew of Elizabethtown, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is planned for the fall.

GLORIA LANESE
Gloria Lanese, a longtime resident of the area, entered into rest on May 3, 2009, at the home of her daughter in Liberty, NY. She was 84.
Daughter of the late Harold and Ernestine Podesta Timoney, she was born April 18, 1925 in Oakland, MD.
Gloria was a retired bookkeeper for Jamesway in Liberty. She was a member of St. Francis Church in Youngsville, a volunteer in the Retired Senior Volunteer Program and a foster grandparent at Liberty School.
She was the widow of Anthony Lanese and Claus Schons. Survivors include her children, Craig Lanese of Jeffersonville, Dean Lanese of Derry, NH, Michele Morgenthaler of Mastic, NY, Wayne Lanese of E. Stroudsburg, PA, Renee Prairie of Liberty and Tim Lanese of Youngsville; sisters Dorothea ONiel of West Islip, NY and Elaine DiGiacomo of Albertson, NY; 21 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday, May 8, at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, NY.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 9, in St. Francis Church, Youngsville, NY, with Fr. Ignatius Vu, celebrant.

SHIRLEY E. REINFURT
Shirley E. Reinfurt of Seelyville, PA died Saturday, April 25, 2009 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, PA. She was 81.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Reinfurt, in 2006.
The daughter of the late George and Irene Dillmuth Evans, she was a member of St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Seelyville Union Sunday School, where she served as treasurer and organist-pianist. Shirley was organist for St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Hawley, and played organ for St. Johns Lutheran Church in Honesdale. She volunteered with the Sunbeam Willing Workers and served as judge of elections for Texas Township. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Reinfurt and wife Ingrid of Glen Ridge, NJ and John Reinfurt and wife Susan of Beach Lake, PA; daughter Carolyn Cowley and husband Kevin of Warminster, PA; 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers Donald and David Evans; and sister Charlotte Reinfurt.
Funeral services were on Wednesday, April 29 at St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church, Honesdale with Rev. Kenneth Buckwalter officiating. Interment followed in the Canaan Corners Cemetery, Waymart, PA.
GENEVIEVE GEN THIELE
Genevieve Gen Thiele of Glen Spey, NY, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2009 at the Morristown General Hospital, Morristown, NJ. She was 81.
She was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 24, 1928, the daughter of the late William and Helen Tiedeman Schneider.
Gen was a retired town clerk for the Town of Lumberland and worked as a bus driver transporting students from the Eldred Central School to St. Marys School in Port Jervis, NY. She married Howard Thiele, who survives at home.
Gen was a member of the Town of Lumberland Republican Committee and of the Lumberland Seniors, and former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Lumberland Fire Dept.
A family statement reads: Gen was admired by many for being well organized, her busy hands, exquisite needle work and creativity.
She is survived by daughters Helen Sherman and husband Leigh of Glen Spey and Maryann Pudge Cullin and husband Mark of Port Jervis; sons Kenneth Thiele and wife Joyce of Matamoras, PA and Robert Thiele and companion Sue Vanderwiele of Eldred; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, William Schneider; and her sister, Dorothy Fagley.
A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, May 7, at 6:00 p.m. at the Pond Eddy United Methodist Church, Pond Eddy, NY. Rev. Nancy Vonderhorst will officiate. Interment will be private.

Memorial for Tasha Williams
CALLICOON, NY A memorial service will be held for Tasha Williams at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 9 at the Callicoon Creek Park. A reception will follow the ceremony at the Delaware Youth Center.
Williams taught ballet, creative movement and music at Third Street Music School, Turtle Bay Music School and The Neighborhood School in New York City. Thereafter, she and her husband and his brother, Peter Grunn, owned and operated The Sault Falls Inn in Braman, PA for over 10 years.
Williams also founded, owned and operated The Braman Arts Conservatory in Callicoon, which offered classes in theatre, dance, art and writing and a performing arts series that featured local, national and international performers. She received numerous awards from the states of New York and Pennsylvania for her inspiring work with children and adults through the arts. In 2004, she was named as one of the outstanding women making a difference in the Upper Delaware region.
A memorial statement released with the announcement of the event said, Her luminescence will live on in all who knew her.
