Eldred students agog at array of future employment at Tenth Annual Career Day expo

By RICHARD A. ROSS

ELDRED, NY—Despite news of the ailing economy, Eldred students seemed upbeat and enthusiastic as they visited booths at the school’s tenth annual Career Day on April 30. Organized by School-to-Work Coordinator Bob Skibinski each year, the expo offers students a view into a wide range of possible future careers.

On hand this year were many presenters including Sullivan County BOCES, Jennings Jewelers and Photography, Jeff Bank, Sandra Schultz, Finehand Signs, Dispute Resolution Center, Highland Renaissance, Planned Parenthood, Davis R. Chant Realtors, Sullivan County DPW and Recycling Center, Riverview Inn, Bon Secours Hospital, the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department, representatives from the National Guard, the U.S. Army, Delaware Valley Job Corps, Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, Lifetouch Studios and many others.
