Acoustic Eidolon resounds on Tusten stage
NARROWSBURG, NY The musical talents of Joe Scott and Hannah Alkire come together to create unique acoustic instrumental sound with Acoustic Eidolon on Saturday, May 9 at 8:00 p.m. at the Tusten Theatre. The concert is presented by Delaware Valley Arts Alliance (DVAA).
Scott plays an instrument he invented: the double-neck guitjo, a custom acoustic guitar with two necks, built exclusively for him. This one-of-a-kind instrument has incredible range and tonal qualities, sounding at times like a piano, dulcimer or harp. Combined with Alkire on the cello, the result is musical poetry.
Their live shows include a few vocal selections, as well as pieces that borrow from Celtic, contemporary, bluegrass, and Latin influences. Acoustic Eidolons recordings have been featured on NPRs All Things Considered and numerous other stations across the country.
Tickets cost $15, with a $2 discount on advance sales for DVAA members. For more information visit www.artsalliancesite.org or call 845/252-7272.
