Pocono Visitors satellite center opens

HAWLEY, PA — The opening of a new visitors center on April 25 was celebrated by business and government officials and residents along the shores of Lake Wallenpaupack.

The center, which is owned and operated by the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau (PMVB), will also house the headquarters of the Hawley-Lake Wallenpaupack Chamber of Commerce as well as the local office of State Senator Lisa Baker of the 20th Senatorial District.

The one million dollar center, which is located on Route Six in Palmyra Township in Pike County, will contain tourist information including referral, reservations and brochures.
