DVAA kicks off season with unique American music

NARROWSBURG, NY - The Delaware Valley Arts Alliance will kick off its spring season on Saturday, May 2 at 8:00 p.m. with an evening of unique American music with Robin and Linda Williams.

For more than a quarter of a century, the Virginia-based duo, known for their rich harmonies and original songwriting, have delighted audiences large and small with a blend of bluegrass, folk, old-time, and acoustic country that truly merits the title of “American music.” “Visions of Love,” their CD produced by Garrison Keillor, stayed on the Americana Charts soon after its release January 2002 and was rated in the top five of both the Folk and Bluegrass charts on Roots Music Report.

Port Antique fair on Front Street

PORT JERVIS, NY—The fourth annual Delaware River Antique Fair will be held on Sunday, May 3 on Front Street from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The event will feature a local DJ, Mark Krebs, a banjo player and models dressed in antique clothing.

Ramp festival helps kick off Callicoon market

CALLICOON AND NARROWSBURG, NY—The Upper Delaware River Valley Ramp Festival will help to ring in the new season at the Callicoon Farmers’ Market on Sunday, May 3, where the Upper Delaware Valley chapter of Slow Food, Slow Food UpDeRiVa, will have a tent from 11:00 to 2:00 p.m. A ramp tramp, led by local herbalist Nathaniel Whitmore, will depart from the farmers’ market at 2:00 p.m.
