A JEM of a quilt for Jeff bicentennial

JEFFERSONVILLE, NY — This new “vintage” quilt was made for the Sullivan County Bicentennial weekend on Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17 in Jeffersonville. The pattern was adapted from the Quilt of Valor Signature Block, and took approximately 75 hours to complete. The center of each block holds a historical photograph from the Jack Schadts historical collection. The quilt was made in Saint Francis of Assi Roman Catholic Church in Youngsville by Jennifer Berglas, Jean Egan, Elizabeth Huggler, Keyna Lore-Hust, Nancy Matrafailo and Ruth Pontious. It will be displayed in the store window of the Blue Victorian. Tickets for donations will be available soon.
