NACL-hosted theatre troup to present free experimental theatre

HIGHLAND LAKE, NY — The South Wing theatre company, based in New York City, in collaboration with a Japanese theatre company called Nibroll, have created a show, “Secret Rendezvous,” that will be performed on Sunday, April 26 at 2:00 p.m. at the NACL Theater. The work is based on Japanese novelist Abe Kobo’s novel of the same title.

Twenty artists have been working at NACL for 10 days to create the performance. They will incorporate elements of video, choreography and sound. The presentation will be free.

“Secret Rendezvous” has been adapted by Ivana Catanese, Kameron Steele & The South Wing. It will be directed by Kameron Steele.

This residency is possible thanks to the support of the Japan Foundation, NACL and HERE Artist Residency Program (HARP) which provides commissions, development and full production of cross-disciplinary work for up to three years.
