Experience Upper Delaware lifestyles

NARROWSBURG, NY — Upper Delaware Lifestyles, a day-long series of free workshops, demonstrations and exhibits focusing on home and hearth, will be held on Saturday, April 18, at several business locations in Narrowsburg from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Sponsored by the Narrowsburg Chamber of Commerce, the event will feature talks and demonstrations ranging from a noontime workshop on “How to Make Ricotta Gnocchi,” by Chef Peter Schott of Restaurant 15 Main, to “Fishing Basics,” a talk by Cliff Scheurich of Tom’s Bait and Tackle.

Other events scheduled are “Ikebana” (Japanese flower arranging), by Claudine Luchsinger, at the Delaware Arts Center and “On the Spot Decor,” a 2:00 p.m. demonstration of dining room, living room and bedroom decor by designer George Scholomitti at Rasmussen’s Upper Delaware Furniture.

A wine tasting will be held at Narrowsburg Fine Wines and Spirits from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.. Jill’s Kitchen, in cooperation with Narrowsburg Liquors, will demonstrate how to make Bananas Foster, and Peck’s will present cake decorating. River Gallery will present “The Art of Framing,” and will host a book signing from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

All events are free and open to the public.
