Learning to swing at NACL

HIGHLAND LAKE, NY — NACL will offer classes for those interesting in exploring the performance arts starting in April. NACL principal Tannis Kowalchuk will lead a weekly acting class, “Creating a Solo,” on Tuesdays starting April 14 and running to June 2, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. The class will explore basic physical and vocal actor training skills, with a practical focus on each actor creating their own original 10-minute solo performance. Writing original text, working with props and costumes and music will be encouraged. The cost is $125.

There will be a weekly trapeze class Wednesdays starting on April 29 and running through June 10, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. NACL actress, acrobat, and Pilates instructor Sarah Dey Hirshan will teach basic training, core conditioning and trapeze skills. No experience is necessary. The cost is $95.

Payment is due the first day of class for both courses.
