Sullivan students shine at CAS art show

LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — The Catskill Art Society (CAS) Center will host a show featuring work by Sullivan County high school students from Saturday, April 18 through Sunday, May 17. There will be an opening reception on April 18 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

This exhibition, appearing throughout the gallery, will present the work of students from Liberty, Monticello, Livingston Manor, Eldred, Tri-Valley, Roscoe and Fallsburg. Three hundred artworks in ten media categories comprising drawing, painting, ceramics, printmaking, crafts, computer imagery, photography, design, mixed media and sculpture will be presented. A panel of outside artists and experts will award a first- and second-place ribbon in every category.

Prior to the opening, the students will be invited to the art center to select a student prize award in each category as well. Gallery hours for this exhibition are Friday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., or by appointment. The center is wheel chair accessible.
