NORTH BRANCH, NY—Guest curator Claire Coleman and curator Andrea Brown of The Outsider’s Studio will present Dress Dummies at the North Branch Inn from Sunday, April 5 to Sunday, April 26. Dress Dummies is an all-female show in which artists reinterpret the tailor’s form. There will be an opening reception for the exhibit, with music by The Do Don’t Darlin’s, on April from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.

‘Step into Spring’ with the VanTwistics

LAKE HUNTINGTON, NY—The Delaware Valley Arts Alliance will hold a fundraiser at The Nutshell on Saturday, April 4 from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. with a dance party and light supper featuring music by the high-energy Annie Hat and the VanTwistics. “Proceeds from this dance will help to get us through the end of our fiscal year,” said DVAA Executive Director Elaine Giguere. “With resources from the private and public sectors drying up, we have to make every event count. This dance party offers a twofer: a great night out and a contribution to the arts.”

Easter hop-penings

Easter Bunny and egg hunt

YULAN, NY—The Yulan Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary will host a visit from the Easter Bunny to the Fireman’s Field on Saturday, April 11. There will be an egg hunt at 2:00 p.m., games and crafts for children of all ages and goodie bags to take home, compliments of the Easter Bunny, who will arrive just after 2:00 p.m. Refreshments will be provided and firemen will be on hand to show children the fire trucks and their gear. In the event of bad weather, the visit will take place at the Yulan Firehouse.
