PAUL PAULIE FROLIO
Paul Paulie Frolio, of Smallwood, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 15, 2009 at Catskill Regional Medical Center. He was 51.
The son of the late Anthony and Mary Doerbecker Frolio, he was born on November 22, 1957 in Brooklyn, NY.
Paulie leaves behind his son, Paul J. ONeil of Brooklyn; brothers Anthony Frolio and wife Alice and Michael Frolio, all of Smallwood; sisters MaryAnn Kennedy of Brooklyn, Lorretta VanLoan and husband Chris of Kauneonga Lake, NY, Patricia Finelli and husband John of Middle Village, Queens, Ruth Rusin and husband Adam of Brooklyn and Carol Vovchik of Smallwood; and many nieces and nephews.
Paulie was predeceased by his brother, Joey Frolio; and his sister, Rosanna Frolio.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 21, at the Presbyterian Reformed Church, Madison Road, White Lake, NY. Rev. David Coon officiated.
GEORGE ROBERT KENT
George Robert Kent, a longtime resident of Narrowsburg, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 28, 2009. He was 62.
The son of Lucille Kent and the late George Francis Kent, he was born September 4, 1946.
He loved to fish, hunt and ride his motorcycle. A family statement reads, Bob is at peace in the great outdoors.
He will forever be loved and remembered by his mother; his sister, Kathleen Caraccia and husband Joe; his brothers, Greg Kent and wife Rebecca and Chris Kent and wife Lisa; his children, George Robert Kent Jr., Mark Kent, Kathleen Van Wagner and Jennifer Mitchell, Steven Kent and Joey Kent; and 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on March 1, 2009 at the Martin A. Gleason Funeral Home.
A memorial will be held later this year.
His family would like to thank all those who helped take care of him and made his last days peaceful.
GLADYS MAE KINNEY
Gladys Mae Kinney of Buck Brook, Roscoe, NY, a homemaker and former waitress and a lifetime resident of the area, died Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Achieve Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Liberty, NY. She was 85.
The daughter of the late Frank and Ida Hankins Riker, she was born November 11, 1923 in the Town of Tusten, NY.
She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Jeffersonville, NY.
Survivors include her husband, Earl Kinney Sr., at home; sons Earl Kinney Jr. and wife Natalie of Hortonville, NY and Jesse Kinney and wife Shirley of Harris, NY; daughter-in-law Alice Kinney; grandchildren Lloyd Kinney, Frank Kinney, Amy Kinney, Lora McAvoy, Lisa Smith, Shane Kinney, Jesse Kinney and Darin Kinney; 12 great grandchildren; sisters Jean Crowder, Jane Heaton and Joan Staples; and brother Harold Riker.
She was predeceased by a son, Lloyd Kinney; and sisters Evelyn, Lillian, Dorothy, Mildred and Florence.
Services were held Monday, March 23 at the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, Callicoon, NY.
Burial was in Glen Cove Cemetery, Narrowsburg, NY.
