Trees celebrated through poetry

HONESDALE, PA — The Upper Delaware Writers Collective (UDWC) will present a poetry reading at the Himalayan Institute Café on Friday, March 13 at 5:30 p.m.

The group will present poems from their recently published anthology, “PoeTree.” Many of the poems were originally read at Grey Towers National Historic Site in Milford in July, 2007 and 2008. Poems to be presented all include trees, although many other topics are covered, such as family, memory, friendship, love and loss.

UDWC members often present poetry in “multiple voices,” providing an aspect of theatre to the reading. The group has performed widely around the area and has published anthologies of other member work including “Small Seeds” and “Wheel.”
