Follow the yellow brick road—to Glen Spey

GLEN SPEY, NY — The drama club of the Eldred Central School will present its production of “The Wizard of Oz” on Friday, March 13 at 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday, March 14 at 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. All performances will be held at the George Ross Mackenzie Elementary School auditorium.

Dorothy will be portrayed by Karlie Contrera with understudy Megan Rausch, Glinda by Ashley Horton with understudy Hannah Powers, Uncle Henry by Matt Halloran, Scarecrow by Amzie Laput with understudy Lizzy Heck, Tin Man by Lauren Alves with understudy Lucey Snyder, Lion by Robby Snyder, Wicked Witch by Adriana Kirk, and The Wizard by Tyler Margotta.

The leads will portray their parts in the Friday and Saturday evening performances. The understudies will portray the parts in the Saturday afternoon performance.

Admission costs $8 for adults and $6 for students, children and senior citizens. Tickets at the Saturday matinee performance cost $3 for students. There is a ticket presale through March 6 on a first-come, first-served basis, with tickets at a $1 discount off published prices. Reserved seating is available on the prepaid tickets. Checks should be made out to Eldred Drama Club and should specify date and time of performance.

Doors will open 20 minutes prior to performance time. Flowers and bouquets will be available in the café during intermission. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
