An intimate evening of chamber music

WCM holds dinner concert fundraiser

BROOKLYN, NY — The Weekend of Chamber Music (WCM) will open its 2009 season with an intimate evening fundraiser on Sunday, March 15, featuring music by Mozart, Glinka, Berg and Chopin. The event will be held at the home of WCM’s artistic director, with performances by flutist Judith Pearce, clarinetist Allen Blustine, pianist Marija Stroke and Bassoonist Leonard Hindell.

The evening will begin at 4:00 p.m. A light supper of freshly prepared gourmet food, wine and views of New York Harbor and Manhattan will accompany the entertainment. The Brooklyn Museum and Brooklyn Botanic Garden are just across the street, for those who would like to arrive a little early for an extra treat.

Reservations are required for the fundraiser, which supports the WCM Artist Coaching Project in Sullivan County Schools. Reservations cost a minimum donation of $75 per person.
