Shrub pruning workshop to be held

EAST STROUDSBURG, PA — There will be a professional tree and shrub pruning workshop, “Pruning for Professionals,” on Wednesday, March 4 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at East Stroudsburg University.

The course is designed to teach the fundamentals of pruning shrubs and small trees in the landscape. A morning session will include information on pruning theory, terminology and plant biological response. It will be followed by a hands-on session outdoors, where pruning theory will be applied in the field.

The program will assume a working familiarity with pruning and pruning tools and is targeted for commercial landscapers and grounds maintenance personnel. The registration cost is $35 and includes an extensive reference packet, lunch and refreshments. You will need to bring your own pruning tools to class.
