Dancing with a dime at Mardi Gras

HONESDALE, PA - The Honesdale High School Band accompanied this human dime as they danced down Main Street as part of the first ever Mardi Gras on February 21. Organized by the Greater Honesdale Partnership and Jeff Hiller from the Trackside Grill, over 60 Honesdale businesses, community organizations and churches participated in the sidewalk parade, which went on from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The event drew hundreds of visitors.

“We were amazed at the response,” Hiller said. “We’re definitely going to do this again next year.”
