Girl Scout weekends planned at Frost Valley

CLARYVILLE, NY — Frost Valley YMCA will host a series of themed programs for Girl Scouts in 2009. This month, Girl Scout Winter Wonderland outings are planned for Monday to Wednesday, February 16 to 18 and from Wednesday to Friday, February 18 to 20, during which Scouts can earn their Frosty Fun and Winter Sports badges.

There will be a Girl Scout Eco-Challenge Weekend from Friday to Sunday, March 20 to 22. The Eco-Challenge badge workshops are for all levels of Scouts from Juniors to Cadettes.

Events planned for the rest of the year will include equestrian weekends, a camping adventure and Down on the Farm Weekend.

During Scout weekends, Frost Valley Scouts can participate in staff-led hikes, seasonal tours like maple sugaring and apple cidering, and other regularly scheduled interpretive programs. All of the Girl Scout Weekends feature value pricing for weekend packages that include lodging, meals and programming for the entire stay. Day rates are also available.
