Scholarships available to students in plant sciences

SULLIVAN COUNTY, NY — The Master Gardeners of Sullivan County are offering two $500 Terry Forshay Memorial Scholarships for local students. The deadline for submission is April 1.

The Terry Forshay Memorial Scholarship is given to high school or college students pursuing a degree in the field of plant sciences. To be eligible, the candidate must have an interest in the field of plant science, horticulture, landscaping design or forestry, and a GPA of 75 percent or greater. A one-page essay about themselves and their interests, plus a letter or recommendation, is required.
