‘The Mitten’

WURTSBORO, NY — Susan Couture, librarian at Emma C. Chase Elementary School, will have a story published in the February issue of Highlights Magazine. The name of the story is “The Mitten.”

‘Pigs on the Levee’

LACKAWAXEN, PA — Thomas Lisenbee of Lackawaxen has won the 2009 Richard Bauch Short Fiction Prize for his story “Pigs on the Levee.” The story will be available at www.ourstories.org, and will appear later in print in Our Stories’ annual “best of” print version. Lisenbee is a member of the Upper Delaware Writers Collective.
