A chili day in February

COCHECTON, NY — The Cochecton Volunteer Ambulance Corps (CVAC) will hold its second annual Chili To Go fundraiser from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 15 at the ambulance building on Lake Huntington. Everyone is invited to attend. Cost depends on the size. Coffee is free.

The Chili To Go event gives everyone an opportunity to vote for their favorite among huge pots of chili provided by ambulance members. The proceeds will go to purchase needed medical supplies for the rig.

This year a “firehouse chili” has been added to the choices of red, white, moose, venison and also meatless chili and soup for the vegetarians.

Tickets to win a full cord of wood can be purchased at the door for $1 each, $5 for six, with a drawing at 2:00 p.m. and free delivery in town. You do not need to be present to win.

Home-baked goods will also be available for purchase, and there will be a cake auction right before the drawing.
