LACKAWAXEN, PA — The Eagle Institute will hold a Winter Eagle Watch on Sunday, January 18 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. The event will feature Close Encounters with Birds of Prey, an up-close look at live birds of prey, including a bald eagle, at 2:00 p.m. at the Lackawaxen Firehouse. Throughout the day there will be vendors with eagle-related items, guided eagle habitat excursions for nominal donation, children’s craft activities, eagle watching on the river, and visits to the Eagle Institute’s winter field office and the Zane Grey Museum. Refreshments will be available from the Lackawaxen Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary.
