Manor ice carnival celebrates 50th

LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — Livingston Manor will hold its 50th Annual Livingston Manor Rotary Ice Carnival on Saturday, January 17 and Sunday, January 18. Festivities will open at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday with the annual snow sculpture contest, at which Livingston Manor Central School (LMCS) classes in grades nine through 12 and community organizations compete. The theme this year is 19th Century Happenings. Also on Saturday will be the judging of the snow sculptures, and the Ice Carnival Dance in the LMCS gym, starting at 6:45 p.m., at which the festival king and queen will be crowned.

Sunday, starting at 12:00 noon will feature skating of all kinds—races, figure-skating demonstrations and free skating for festival goers—as well as carriage rides, snow shoe demonstrations and more.
