Sullivan teen to compete in international beauty pageant

CALLICOON, NY — ALTO Associates LLC ( nypageants.com ) has announced the selection of the New York State representatives to the Mrs., Miss, and Miss Teen International Pageants. Ariana Kaminsky of Liberty will be crowned Miss Teen New York International during a ceremony on January 24 at 3:00 p.m. at the Villa Roma Resort & Conference Center. She will be crowned by the 2008 Miss Teen New York International, Heather Mackey.

Crowning of the new Mrs. and Miss New York International will also take place on January 24. Lidia Szczepanowski Goldsmith of Dix Hills has been chosen as Mrs. New York International 2009 and Stephanie Mattera, representing New York University, will wear the crown as Miss New York International 2009.

All three new titleholders will represent the Empire State in the Miss Teen, Miss, and Mrs. International Pageants at the North Shore Center For The Performing Arts in Chicago in July 2009.

The purpose of Miss Teen International is to showcase women who are 13 to 18 years old by July 1 of the national competition year and are a resident of the state or a citizen of the country they represent. Each contestant competes in interview competition valued at 40 percent of their total score, evening gown valued for 20 percent, fitness wear for 20 percent, and fun fashion wear 20 percent. Each contestant has the opportunity to select a platform of her choice that she spends the year promoting.
