Monticello’s Haley Heins was Section Nine’s top girl finisher at the alpine skiing state championships held at Lake Placid. She finished 27th in the slalom and 32nd in the giant slalom. The Lady Panthers won the state scholar athlete title for having the highest average of any girls ski team in the state.
