RiverFolk concerts kick off with Crookston

MILANVILLE, PA — Calkins Creek Vineyard will host a series of RiverFolk concerts, starting with a performance by Joe Crookston ( joecrookston.com ) on January 3.

Crookston is the 2008 Falcon Ridge Top 3 “Most Wanted” Artist, a 2007 Rockefeller Foundation Songwriting Grant recipient, a 2007 Mountain Stage New Song finalist, and ranked in the top 12 in do-it-yourself recording by Performing Songwriter Magazine.

The event will occur with support from Jill’s Kitchen, Calkins Creamery, Beach Lake Bread and WJFF FM radio. Light refreshments and wine will be served. The doors open at 6:00 p.m., with showtime at 7:00 p.m. Reservations are strongly suggested. The suggested donation is $12; part of the proceeds will benefit WJFF.
