Santa on wheels

HONESDALE, PA — The Greater Honesdale Partnership will offer visitors and shoppers a free shuttle service on Saturday, December 20 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The free shuttle will be a white van topped with a big red bow, owned and operated by Jim Ankin of Stepping Out Tours.

The shuttle will travel in a northerly direction down Main Street, making stops at the corners of Main and 7th streets, Main and 9th streets and Main and 11th streets where it will turn right, make a stop at the corner of 10th and Church and continue to the apartments at Stourbridge Square. It will then travel south on Court Street making a right onto 9th Street and a left onto Church Street. A stop will be made at the corner of Church and 7th and the shuttle will continue to 5th Street, where it will make its last stop of the route at the corner of 5th and Main.

If the free shuttle is successful, the Partnership would like to see it run during its events, with an even broader route, servicing more of the greater Honesdale area. “Honesdale is a wonderful place to be during the holiday shopping season,” says Tucker. “We invite everyone to come and see all that Honesdale has to offer.”
