Jeff celebrates Christmas week with carols, brunch crawl, services

JEFFERSONVILLE, NY — Jeffersonville will conclude its month-long holiday celebrations with a week of continued children’s activities, Main Street hospitality and Christmas services.

On Saturday, December 20 there will be Storytime with Mrs. Claus from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the library. From 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. there will be hayrides down Main Street with pickup at Justus Tires for $5 per person. In the afternoon there will be carolers strolling up and down Main Street. Select stores will be open until 8:00 p.m. from December 20 to 23 and to 4:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

On Sunday, December 21 there will be an all-day Holiday Brunch Crawl. Look for balloons at participating stores, which will serve holiday snacks and beverages. At 12:00 noon and 2:00 p.m. there will be a demonstration of old-fashioned printing at Echo Letterpress. Visitors can take home a Jeffersonville postcard souvenir. From 1:00 to 4:00 there will be pictures with Santa at Santa’s Workshop for a $3 fee.

Christmas Eve services will be a 4:00 p.m. Vigil Mass at St George’s Catholic Church, an 8:30 p.m. candlelight service at the First Presbyterian Church, a 10:00 p.m. candlelight service at First Grace Lutheran Church with Communion, and a 10:00 p.m. Midnight Mass at St. George’s Catholic Church. St. George’s Catholic Church will hold a Christmas Day Mass at 10:00 a.m.
