Welcome aboard, Berlin!

NARROWSBURG, NY — Berlin Township chairman Paul Henry, left, receives a membership pin from Upper Delaware Council (UDC) chairman Alan Bowers, as Berlin Township, PA was welcomed to membership at the UDC’s meeting on December 4. Berlin is the second Wayne County, PA township to join the UDC this year, following Damascus Township earlier this summer. Henry is serving as Berlin’s delegate until a volunteer expresses interest in the role. Contact the township office at 570/729-8073 for more information. Nominations were also put forward for the 2009 slate of officers of the UDC, consisting of George Fluhr (Shohola Township, PA) for chairman, Harold Roeder (Town of Delaware, NY) for vice chairman and Jack Niflot (Town of Fremont, NY) for secretary/treasurer. The official vote will take place at the first meeting of the year, which has been rescheduled to January 8 at 7:30 p.m. due to the New Year holiday.
