Enchantment takes the stage in Port Jervis

PORT JERVIS, NY—The Delaware Valley Dance Company’s will present the classic ballet “The Nutcracker” in two performances on Saturday, December 20 at Delaware Valley High School: a matinee performance at 12:00 noon and a 7:00 p.m. evening performance.

The production features the music of Tchaikovsky, the choreography of Petipa, talented dancers and professional quality costumes and sets.

Tickets are available at the door costing $14 for adults, $7 for seniors and $7 children. They may also be purchased in advance at a discount at the Dance Center.

A couple of years ago I decided, for a variety of reasons, to try to eat a vegetarian diet. As an inveterate meat lover, I find myself falling off the wagon for pretty much any excuse (like cooking for my family on the holidays). However, my attempt has had the side effect of fostering the creation of a few nutritious and tasty dishes that I never would have tried if I’d stuck entirely to a meat-based diet.

UpFront exhibits work by Riddle, PA students

PORT JERVIS, NY—UpFront Exhibition Space will present a show featuring Steven Paul Riddle, UpFront artists and works by the seventh- and eighth-grade students of the Delaware Middle School, Dingmans Ferry, PA, with an opening reception on Saturday, December 13 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. There will also be holiday ornaments made by students on sale for $3 each. All proceeds will go to Safe Haven of Pike County.
