Books and baked goods from the Literacy Volunteers

MONTICELLO, NY — On Friday, December 12, the Literacy Volunteers of Sullivan County will have a Book and Bake Sale in the lobby of the Sullivan County Government Center from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Books are very high quality used books from The Read It Again Bookstore, and all baked goods are homemade.

PIKE COUNTY, PA — The United Way of Pike County (UWPC) offers holiday donation cards allowing you to present all on your Christmas list with a generous donation to the United Way made in their honor. NARROWSBURG, NY —– The Upper Delaware Scenic Byway (USDB) is offering two books for sale for the holiday season, both at its Narrowsburg location on Bridge Street, and on the UDSB Store page on its website, upperdelawarescenicbyway.org (click the Shops & Services button).

“Hawk’s Nest: Newspaper History of the Road,” written by Town of Deerpark Historian and UDSB Deerpark Representative Norma Schadt, is available for $15, plus $2.50 for shipping and handling. The book is a 150-page, soft-cover illustrated publication by The 1863 Schoolhouse Press.

“Perseverance & Vigilance: The History of the Old Decker Stone House,” written by Minisink Valley Historical Society Executive Director and UDSB City of Port Jervis representative Peter Osborne, is available for $19.95, plus $4.80 for shipping and handling. The book is a 224-page, soft-covered illustrated publication by Minisink Press.
