Grey Towers hosts holiday weekend

MILFORD, PA — Guided tours of Grey Towers National Historic Site start next weekend on Friday, December 12 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., with an opening event featuring caroling and hot chocolate. The Milford Garden Club decorates the home for the occasion, and traditional luminaries light the walkway to the mansion.

On Saturday, the sounds of traditional holiday music will fill the mansion as the River Gap Recorders Consort plays traditional holiday woodwind music and the Dingman-Delaware Elementary Chorus sings traditional holiday songs. Also on Saturday, at 5:00 p.m., the Gifford Pinchot Audubon Society Annual Tea will take place, with a program on “Global Warming and Bird Migration” and “How To Have A Green Holiday.” The Audubon Society members will provide tea sandwiches and desserts to all who attend. The event is free and open to the public. Snow date is Sunday, December 14.

On Sunday, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., visitors can watch as the Lost Art Lacers of North Jersey create fine and delicate lacework, and children can enjoy a visit from Santa, with a forest-related gift for youngsters.
