Jeffersonville jollities
JEFFERSONVILLE, NY Jeffersonville has a variety of entertainments planned for the holiday season this year. Saturday, December 6 there will be an all-day jewelry trunk show and sale at Bridgewater Mercantile & Galleria Joniah, a childrens Music Together class at 10:00 a.m., a holiday cookie sale and fair trade fair at the First Lutheran Church from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., hayrides/carriage rides from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m., and more.
On Sunday, December 7 there will be carols and communion at 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, followed by a potluck luncheon. The Janice Center will hold a grand opening and open house from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Visitors can tour the facility, hear performances and check out the programs offered. Refreshments will be served. There will be pictures with Santa at Santas Workshop from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. for a $3 fee.
The Villa Roma will host the Jeffersonville Area Chamber of Commerces Truckload of Cash Raffle & Party on Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., with a chance to win $15,000 and celebrate the holidays at the Villa Roma. There will be unlimited food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and dancing to live music. Tickets for this fundraising event cost $100, and each ticket entitles up to two persons admission.
Ongoing activities in December will include a Holiday Basket Raffle from Vitas Farm Market (winners drawing on December 21); a handmade ornament contest (submit a handmade ornament for display at Goode & Plenty; winners announced December 26 at 2:00 p.m.); Lucky Girl & Boy toy drawing (enter to win a toy at Little Duck House; official drawing on December 20); origami crane ornaments at Global Home (hoping to make 1,000 for good luck in the New Year); restorative stretch and yoga classes (stretch classes every Friday at 5:30 p.m. and yoga classes every Saturday and Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the village hall); a free hot cider tasting at Samba every weekend; a holiday book sale at Jeffersonville Public Library from December 6 to 13; and more.
