Beauty and the beastly

A recent ramble across the Narrowsburg bridge and along Pennsylvania’s River Road revealed moments of natural beauty, including a late-blooming wildflower cluster nestled into a rock ledge, a magnificent view of the Delaware River’s Big Eddy and an impressive boulder looming over the narrow lane.

A sore reminder of human disrespect also presented itself; someone dumped several bags of trash over the embankment, where it rests above the river.

Ski Big Bear opens early

LACKAWAXEN, PA—Ski Big Bear at Masthope Mountain will open on Friday, November 28 at 9:00 a.m. This is the earliest Ski Big Bear at Masthope Mountain has opened in its 30 years of operation. It is possible due to a combination of new snowmaking technology and unusually early winter weather.
