Mrs. Trumans Pumpkin Pie
By MARY GREENE
This is one of the easiest pumpkin pies you will ever make, and also one of the tastiest. The secret ingredient is the scalded milk, which gives it a light, creamy, custardy taste.
The recipe for this pie was clipped out of a newspaper by my Grandmother Whitney, and I presume it really did come from President Trumans wife. It was passed down from my grandmother to my mother, then to me, and now to my daughter.
Enjoy!
