Pot luck dinner welcomes all

Items for troops’ care packages

to be collected

MILFORD, PA — There will be a potluck dinner on Friday, December 5 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Pike County Area Agency on Aging. Participants are invited to bring what they can, and all are welcome whether they can bring anything or not. Healthy, homemade dishes are requested; do not bring junk food or alcohol.

A collection for care packages for the troops will also be taken at the dinner. Items needed include canned food and fruits with pop-open lids, nuts, sunflower seeds, Tide or Wisk laundry tabs, Deep Woods OFF, After-Bite for insect bites, dust masks, work gloves, cooling bands to be dipped in water, WD40, CDs, magazines, paperback books, playing cards, foam balls, travel size games, crosswords, heavy cotton socks, disposable cameras, ziplock bags, batteries, mosquito netting, cushioned shoelaces, sunglasses (black, no brand), AT&T calling cards, pens, paper, pencils, notes, postage stamps, powdered drink mixes (nonperishable), instant coffee, tea bags, baking powder, instant cereal, beef jerky, slim jims, hard candy, lollipops, gum, lozenges, breath mints, baby wipes, moist towelettes, lip balm, cotton swabs, dental floss, deodorant, disposable razors, shower gel/cream, eye drops (visene), feminine hygiene products, foot powder, unscented lotion, mouthwash, shampoo, soap, unscented sunscreen, tissues and toothbrush/paste. Chocolate, salami, pork, glass with liquids in it and aerosol cans are not eligible.
