Tree lighting, holiday market, Santa mark Narrowsburg festivities

NARROWSBURG, NY — Narrowsburg will hold its annual tree lighting on Saturday, November 29 at 5:30 p.m. at the observation deck on Main Street. There will be caroling in the streets and goodies offered in various Main Street merchants’ stores.

The town lights will also be lit, and this year the Narrowsburg Chamber of Commerce has gone green for the holidays by purchasing LED energy-saving lights, with help from a matching grant from Sullivan Renaissance.

Donations can be mailed to PO Box 300, Narrowsburg, NY 12764. Checks should be made out to the Narrowsburg Chamber of Commerce.

The Narrowsburg Chamber of Commerce has also arranged a winter Holiday Market starting November 29. Narrowsburg Roasters will host vendors including Bake You Happy, Beach Lake Bread, Calkins Creamery, Fallsdale Farm and Flour Power Bakery, who will set up stands in the green room to discuss, sample and sell their wares directly to the public. The market will be held on Saturdays through December 21. For more information email will@narrowsburgroasters.com or call 845/252-6688

Residents of the Town of Tusten can register on Wednesday, December 3 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tusten–Cochecton Branch of the Western Sullivan Public Library to attend a visit from Santa on Sunday, December 14. He will come to the Tusten Town Hall for an event that kicks off at 2:00 p.m. and will include caroling and coloring. This year, children will receive an age-appropriate gift while enjoying cookies and juice. Parents are encouraged to bring cameras. The event is sponsored in part by the Town of Tusten Youth Commission.
