Parade and skip-the-mall weekend set Jeff humming for the holidays

JEFFERSONVILLE, NY — Jeffersonville is holding a skip-the-mall weekend from Friday, November 28 through Sunday, November 30. The centerpiece will be the annual James Dworetsky Holiday Parade, which steps off on Main Street in Jeffersonville at 7:00 p.m. Global Home will hold a launch party from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., offering celebratory cocktails before or after the parade. There will be pictures with Santa Claus from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Santa’s Workshop, for a $3 fee.

Businesses will be offering treats, drinks and special one-day-only sales starting on Saturday and continuing Saturday and Sunday with 10 percent off at stores with red balloons. On Saturday, there will also be hayrides and carriage rides from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. for $5 per person, and on Sunday more pictures with Santa at Santa’s Workshop, for $3.
