Damascus academy collects food for Thanksgiving
DAMASCUS, PA The Damascus Christian Academy recently collected food items to help stock the Damascus Township Area Pantry prior to Thanksgiving. The students and their parents enjoyed the opportunity to participate in distributing items to families that might be having difficulties enjoying the holiday season due to the economic climate and its effect upon our local community. Among those taking part in the collection were Nick Adams, above left, Raynell Bates, Allan Holloway, Cheyenne Decker, Josephine Marino, Peyton Warner, Shelby Marks, Olivia Warfield, Josiah Jones, Ben Capwell and Andrew and Caroline Sheard.
Damascus Christian Academy is operated as a ministry of the First Baptist Church of Damascus. The school offers grades K-12 in a tradition classroom setting. For more information call 570/224-4929.
