Pike artist to exhibit at Skytop

SKYTOP, PA — Joan Polishook, award-winning plein air artist, will be among the 50 exhibitors at the Pocono Mountain Art Council’s annual Skytop Holiday Arts Festival 2008, scheduled for Saturday, November 29 and Sunday, November 30 at the Executive Conference Center at Skytop Lodge. Show hours are 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Polishook’s works in oil, acrylic and watercolor reflect her love of nature and passion for the outdoors. Her interpretations of the local landscape take one on a journey throughout the four seasons to places many may recognize. An award- winning artist, Polishook’s work appears in PA galleries and museums and in private collections in the U.S. and abroad.

Plein Air artists’ works on view at Grey Towers

Work by artists who are part of Polishook’s Come Paint with MeŠ group, artists and lovers of nature who enjoy painting in the outdoors, will be featured at the annual holiday show in the Pinchot Mansion at Grey Towers in Milford. Their original paintings and drawings will be on display from now through the end of January. An open house, with art exhibit included, and tree lighting ceremony is planned for December 12 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Come Paint with MeŠ is a free non-instructional program for artists. In addition to Polishook, artists featured this year will be Charles Avallone, Vasia Benusi, Barbara Briden, Judith Bodman, Dianne Brink, Lita Domino, Joan Douglass, Olga Fino, Paula Heiser, Agnes Keough, Thelma McCarty, Ada Rahl, Marian Stewart and Elaine Sopko.
