Handmade for the Holidays: a local shopping bonanza

CALLICOON CENTER, NY — Weekend one of Handmade for the Holidays, a local holiday shopping experience, will be held on Saturday and Sunday, November 29 and 30, at Hills Country Inn in Callicoon Center at Gulf and Bethlehem Roads. There will be a craft show and waffle brunch from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The two weekends give residents a chance to shop locally for holiday gifts and meet the artists and artisans who create the items they buy. Items available for purchase include pottery, jewelry, photography, vintage clothing and linens, hand knits, dog treats, dog stockings and blankets, holiday decorations, cards, books, silk scarves, paintings, ornaments and stocking stuffers.

The second weekend of the event will be on Saturday and Sunday, December 6 and 7 at Duke Pottery, 855 County Road 93 near Fremont Center. In addition to the craft show, there will be a French pastry brunch from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
