‘Music of Our Time’ features local composers

NARROWSBURG, NY—The Delaware Valley Chamber Orchestra presents its 15th annual “Music of Our Time” concert on Saturday, November 1 at 7:30 p.m. at the Tusten Theatre, 210 Bridge Street. This year’s concert celebrates the 60th birthdays of composers Thurman Barker of Jeffersonville and Sergio García-Marruz of Roscoe. Both composers have written compositions especially for this occasion.

Hooting it up for Halloween

Nice day for a hanging

MILFORD, PA—On October 30 the Pike County Historical Society will present a historic portrayal of Lizzie Schultz, wife of the only man ever sentenced to death by hanging in Milford, in a special performance at the Pike Chamber’s Business Card Exchange, held at the Columns Museum from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Local actress Stacey Case will take on the character of Lizzie Schultz.

Celebrating All Saints Day

LIBERTY, NY—The Liberty Free Theatre will present the band Crazy Cat Lady on Saturday, November 1 at 7:30 p.m. The All Saints Day evening will begin with a program of scary, satirical fables by the eminent Polish writer Slawomir Mrozek, performed by Rilla Askew and Paul Austin.
