Jamboree celebrates college sports teams

LOCH SHELDRAKE, NY — Sullivan County Community College’s (SCCC) annual Generals Jamboree is set for Thursday, October 30 at 7:00 p.m. in the Paul Gerry Fieldhouse.

The jamboree celebrates SCCC’s sports teams, coaches and student-athletes. Attendees take in the popular alumni basketball game and slam-dunk contest, as well as get the opportunity to participate in other crowd games and contests. In addition, there will be a special recognition ceremony honoring the 2007-2008 NJCAA Player of the Year and former SCCC student Bertram “BJ” McDowell, as well as the 2008 Region XV Championship baseball team.

Doors to the event open at 6:30 p.m. and the first 100 attendees will receive a free gift.
