‘Fire in His Fiddle’

HAWLEY, PA — Jay Smar, local singer and songwriter, will present “Fire in His Fiddle,” a selection of old-time tunes, music from Pennsylvania coal mines and original selections about Pennsylvania from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, at PPL’s Wallenpaupack Environmental Learning Center just east of the intersection of Routes 590 and 6.

From folk to bluegrass, his presentation includes the world’s first “gravity” railroad, the invention of the roller coaster and other mining folklore.
