Run, walk and celebrate diversity in Fallsburg

FALLSBURG, NY — Fallsburg High School will be having its annual 5K Run/Walk For Our Future on Saturday, October 25 starting at 10:00 a.m. The run/walk will occur during the morning, and a celebration of cultural diversity will take place from 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m. The event benefits the Student Government Association Scholarship fund.

The runners, walkers and afternoon visitors to our festival of cultures will be offered a fine assortment of ethnic foods provided by Fallsburg teachers, students, staff, families and local businesses. While sampling delicious morsels, families will enjoy music, art, dance, native costumes and information about the many groups of people who have emigrated to Fallsburg over the past 100 years.

The school district invites help from teachers, students, staff, families and local businesses to performances, prepare foods and design posters and artwork demonstrating pride in everyone’s heritage.
