First Stages Cabaret debuts at CAS

LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — The Catskill Artists Gallery (CAS) will present First Stages Cabaret with Performance Arts Workshop (PAW) at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 25 at the CAS center, at 48 Main Street.

The event will be an eclectic evening of performance pieces, staged reading and music, directed by Mimi McGurl and featuring work by Carolin Brown, Mary Hall, Judith Katz and Rita Wolpert, with music by Jeff Lackey and David Walton.

McGurl is a director and professor of theater studies who has been leading a workshop with PAW at the CAS Arts Center in performance piece writing. First Stages showcases some of the work that has been developed in this series of workshops. There will be a discussion after the show. Tickets cost $5 at the door. Material presented is geared to mature audiences.
