Haunted Rail Trail provides spooky fun

LIBERTY, NY — The Liberty Rail Trail will be haunted on October 18. At the Haunted Rail Trail there will be for family-oriented games, scares, refreshments, candy and a costume contest for the kids.

The fun will start at 4:00 p.m. at the Chestnut Street entrance to the trail in the Village of Liberty. Admission costs $1 per person; refreshments will be available for a minimum donation. Donations support the ongoing effort to revitalize the existing rail trail.

The Liberty Rail Trail at one time was an abandoned rail bed in the Village of Liberty. This year, volunteers from Liberty and surrounding communities worked to open the trail for everyone to enjoy. The trail provides up to six miles of walking and bicycling opportunities.
