‘Proof’ takes the stage in Narrowsburg

NARROWSBURG, NY — The Sullivan County Dramatic Workshop will presents David Auburn’s Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning drama, “Proof,” at the Tusten Theatre at 210 Bridge Street.

On the eve of her 25th birthday, Catherine (Rebecca Robbins of Rosendale), has spent years caring for her brilliant but unstable father, Robert (Max Schaefer of Glen Spey), a brilliant mathematician. Now, following his death, she must deal with volatile emotions; the arrival of her estranged sister, Claire (Laura Ogden of Saugerties); and the attentions of Hal (Jim Sullivan of Long Eddy), a former student of her father’s who hopes to find valuable work in the 103 notebooks that her father left behind.

The play is directed by Lori Schneider-Wendt of Hurleyville. Heather Strauss of Rock Hill is the stage manager and Jim Schmidt of Hurleyville is the technical director.

The Tusten Theatre is managed by the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance, the Arts Council for Sullivan County, NY.
